eigoMANGA Headed To Eisner's And Internet Date: 3/15/2005 |
eigoMANGA is pleased to announce that the company has officially entered its two comic book publications series, RUMBLE PAK and SAKURA PAKK as nomination contenders for the 2005 Eisner Awards. To celebrate, eigoMANGA's website will release the complete first series of RUMBLE PAK and SAKURA PAKK online for free at www.eigoMANGA.com. RUMBLE PAK and SAKURA PAKK are both competing for the nomination for Best Anthology of 2005. Both comics are manga anthologies published by eigoMANGA that features a collection of original manga stories created by American artists. "We are thrilled that both comics have been recognized by the Eisner Awards committee and have an opportunity to contend against other great comic book anthologies this year", claims Austin Osueke, eigoMANGA publisher for both books. RUMBLE PAK has been labeled a shonen manga which features comic stories geared towards male readers while SAKURA PAKK has been labeled a shojo manga which features comic stories geared towards female readers. Fans and comic industry experts have positively responded to both comics since its initial release in 2004. RUMBLE PAK has been featured in museum exhibitions and various stories have branched off into successful 3rd party licensing ventures such as animation and endorsement campaigns. SAKURA PAKK has developed a substantial core audience and inspired a new line of shojo manga anthology series from competitive manga publishing companies. I'm particularly interested in the friendly rivalry we have between both comics that have been cultivated by our editors and fans. It will be fun to see which comic wins out in the nomination race" states Osueke. The editors of eigoMANGA have released the complete first series of RUMBLE PAK and SAKURA PAKK for a limited time on www.eigoMANGA.com in celebration of it's nomination contention. The Eisner Awards are presented under the auspices of Comic-Con International, San Diego, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to creating awareness of and appreciation for comics and related popular art forms primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contributions of comics to art and culture. |
