Viz Participates in Japan! Culture + Hyper Culture Exhibit Date: 2/7/2008 |
VIZ Media has announced its participation in Japan! Culture + Hyper Culture, an exhibit taking place at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., driving up consumer interest in products available from the publisher and Diamond! The special exhibit, which runs until February 17, promises to bring together more than 450 artists, 40 performances and more than a dozen free events to showcase the best in Japanese theater, dance, music, fashion, architecture, sculpture, poetry, literature, photography and film. During the exhibit, Viz will operate a special Manga Caf? and Reading Lounge, which will offer guests a selection of some of the manga genre?s hottest series, including Bleach, Death Note, Naruto, Inu-yasha, Hikaru No Go and more, on display and available to read for free! Additionally, manga author Robin Nishi will also be on-hand to capture festival happenings in a daily drawing and free workshop, giving exhibit-goers an ideal opportunity to learn about one of the most popular forms of Japanese pop-culture to reach the Western world.
