Geneon To Re-Evaluate Canadian Distribution Date: 3/2/2005 |

Geneon doing their "best to get things changed by June this year." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In response to many complaints regarding Geneon's Canadian distribution, which has resulted in Geneon DVDs often costing several dollars more than competing products, Andrew Hunag of Geneon has posted the following on the Anime on DVD forum. As this is an important issue to a significant portion of our fans, brought up several times on these forums includinga currently active thread, I'd like to say the following. We have been devoting substantial time and effort on analyzing the Canadian market and are currently assessing the pricing and distribution structure there, having recognized the issue. As such, we hope to have a means of addressing this matter drawn up by the end of the first quarter of 2005, and be able to enact more competitive prices in Canada's markets by the second quarter of 2005. In less official sounding words, we hear you about the prices in Canada, and we're going do our best to get things changed by June this year. |
