New Anime for Terasawa's Cobra Pulp Sci-Fi Green-Lit Date: 11/5/2007 |
The free anime newspaper Anican in Japan has announced in a special October 20 issue that Buichi Terasawa's classic science-fiction pulp manga Cobra has a new animation series green-lit for production. The series will mark the 30th anniversary of the manga, which tells the testosterone-driven adventures of a space pirate and his female android partner. Osamu Dezaki (Golgo 13, Black Jack) had previously directed a 1982 movie (released by Urban Vision in English) and television series. Terasawa also created the Goku Midnight Eye cybernetic detective manga and video series, both of which were published in English. Source: Ultimatum |
