Anime Network Expands into UK with Two Weekly Hours Date: 5/14/2007 |
Broadband TV News reports that A.D. Vision's Anime Network has licensed two hours of weekly programming to Propeller TV, which is the SKY digital satellite service's Channel 195 in the United Kingdom. Starting June 3, Coyote Ragtime Show, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor, and Elfen Lied will run on Sundays from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. T4's Stuart Claw and Tokyopop UK's Emma Vieceli will host Anime Network's first European foray. Sony's Animax has recently indicated it will expand from continental Europe to the United Kingdom, and Turner Broadcasting's Toonami channel has already run limited anime in the country. |
