Studio Ironcat Shuts Down Date: 2/1/2005 |
According to a statement on the ironcat.com website, Studio Ironcat, the Virginia-based publisher of manga and original comics, has shut down. The statement, signed by Steven R. Bennett IV, does not provide specific details. A post by another Ironcat staffer on the site's forum mentions that all orders that have been placed will be filled, however no new orders are being accepted. Books Ironcat currently has in stock will continue being sold on another, as-of-yet-unnamed website. It is not immediately clear what will happen to the licenses Ironcat holds. Founded in 1998, manga titles Ironcat has translated and published have included Vampire Princess Miyu, Nanaka 6/17, Futaba-kun Change!, and, under its Sexy Fruit imprint, Cool Devices. |
