Kaibutsu Oujo (Princess Resurrection) To Be Animated Date: 1/4/2007 |
According to a promotional postcard passed out to attendees of Winter Comiket 71 which just wrapped a few days ago at Big Sight in Tokyo, Yasunori Mitsunaga's (Trafficker) manga Kaibutsu Oujo (Princess Resurrection) will become a TV animation to broadcast via TBS and BS-i in 2007. Imagine will produce the series. The original gothic horror / dark comedy / heavy moe themed comic serializes in Kodansha's Shounen Sirius Magazine. Del Rey acquired the manga for USA / English release in November. 3 collected volumes now exist on the market in Japan. The story centers on the character of school boy Hiro Hiyorimi who is struck by a car in an accident. Unbeknownst to him, his life is saved by a princess of darkness who feeds him her blood immediately after the inncident. After sharing blood a second time, he's pulled into a covenant of servitude to the gothic mistress. |
