Important UPS Announcements and Changes Date: 12/4/2006 |

UPS Delivery Rates to Change on January 1,2007 United Parcel Service (UPS) has announced that its delivery rates will change effective January 1,2007. These changes include: *An increase of the C.O.D. fee from $8.50 to $9.00 *A net increase of 4.9% for Air and International service. *An increase of 4.9% for Commerical Ground service. *An increase of 5.9% for Ground Hundredweight service. *An increase of $0.10 per package for Delivery Area surcharges: *An increase for Air Express envelopes and packages (Commercial) from $1.30 to $1.40. *An increase for Air Express envelopes and packages (Residental) from $2.10 to $2.20. *An increase of all Hundredweight services from $7.50 to $7.60. *An increase of $0.10 per package for Residential Delivery surcharges: *An increase for all Air Express envelopes and packages from $2.10 to 2.20. *An increase for all Ground Packages from $1.75 to $1.85. *An increase for Declared Values of $0.05 per $100, for a new rate of $0.55 per $100. Important Announcement Regarding UPS Guaranteed Service Refunds in December United Parcel Service (UPS) has announced that due to the winter holidays, UPS ground shipments are not eligible for Guaranteed Service Refunds from December 12-24, but will resume on December 26. Additionally, retailers who have extreme holiday-related delays in the past may want to consider upgrading to 2nd Day or Next Day during this period. These options are more expensive than ground shipments, but will arrive in stores faster.
