Update: Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge To Be Animated Date: 8/9/2006 |
Also known as The Wallflower in North America (manga released by Del Ray), Tomoko Hayakawa's Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge will form the basis of a new Anime TV series to begin airing on Fuji TV in January 2007. In the story 4 young men are allowed to live in a mansion if they can turn a gothgirl with a horror and gore fetish into a lady. They change her goth dress into something more formal but struggle to change her personality. The series was originally serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend in Japan from 2000. Virtually all of data on this item (besides the existance of the actual project) when we originally reported it yesterday (before the official confirmation) was seriously skewed and incorrect and we deeply apologize. According to Kiss Magazine Fuji TV (not TV Tokyo) is now the confirmed broadcaster and January, 2007 (not October, 2006) is the confirmed date of broadcast. Likewise all staff reported are incorrect. Honey and Clover's Kenichi Kasai (not Shinichi Watanabe) will direct. Series Compostion by Tomoko Konparu (School Rumble). Production will be by J.C.STAFF.
