New Anime on Encore WAM, Starz Action Date: 6/19/2006 |

The Gokusen, Mirage of Blaze, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Ten Tokyo Warriors, Eiken, Gundress, Weathering Continent -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Encore WAM has scheduled a number of anime premieres: Friday, June 30: The Gokusen (13 eps) Sunday, July 2: Mirage of Blaze (13 eps, 3 ep sequel) Monday, July 31: Samurai Deeper Kyo (26 eps) All three series will air during "The Block," an hour-long block devoted to anime, at 4 p.m., 1 a.m., and 6 a.m. Eastern. Starz Action Channel also has two premieres: Monday, July 3: Ten Tokyo Warriors (6 eps, 2 at a time) Tuesday, July 3: Eiken (7:40 p.m. Eastern, both parts back-to-back) Friday, July 14: Gundress (midnight) Saturday, July 22: Weathering Continent (9:05 a.m. Eastern) Gundress and Weathering Continent also have several encores scheduled later next month. Starz Action contines to air other titles from their list of "regulars," including Hellsing, Macross, and Texhnolyze. |
