Namco Announces COBRA THE ARCADE Date: 11/14/2005 |
Based on the classic Sci-Fi manga / anime created by Buichi Terasawa, Namco has announced the new shooting arcade game "COBRA THE ARCADE" in Japan. The official release is Tuesday, November 15, 2005. Much of the original TV voice cast including Nachi Nozawa will return for the project. The arcade machine utilizes the "Action Pedal System" from "Time Crisis" and a card system that saves your built up character data for later use. Plays will be 200 Yen to start a game and 100 Yen to continue. Terasawa's original manga began running in Shonen Jump in 1977, and it is continuing in "Monthly Comic Flapper" now. Space Adventure Cobra has been translated into ten languages as of 2005 and book sales exceed 30 million copies. For the ultimate Cobra collector, the arcade machine will retail at 1,178,625 Yen.
