Kadokawa Shoten Announces Overseas Movie Strategy Date: 11/1/2005 |
The 3 movie companies of the Kadokawa group (Kadokawa Movie, Kadokawa Herald and Asmik Ace) announced their new overseas strategy "Global Kadokawa Film Project 2006" in Tokyo on October 28th. According to the plan, the producer who handled Academy Award winning work "Chicago" and the Weinstein brother's new company "Weinstein Companies" will make films based on several of their properties such as Koji Suzuki's short story "Drift Ship" and the popular comic "Tomy" in the United States. The CN Gamera collaboration was announced at the event as was the Korean co-production of "Chakushin Ari Final". |
