Dr. Ochanomizu Lectures on HIV and Safe Sex Date: 10/2/2005 |

Famous Tezuka Character "Lectures" at Narita Airport -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Ochanomizu, a recurring character in many of Osamu Tezuka's manga, including Astro Boy, can be seen "lecturing" at Narita International Airport, outside of Tokyo, on HIV and safe sex. The roughly 5 minute presentation plays on numerous TV sets located around the airport. In it Dr. Ochanomizu discusses HIV, how it can be contracted and points out numerous activities that do not spread the disease. He also discusses the proper methods to avoid contracting the disease when engaging in activities where the disease can be contracted. Dr. Ochanomizu was most famously seen as the mentor to Astro Boy and the creator of Astro's sister and parents. |
