Sony Distributes Anime On PSP Date: 8/1/2005 |

Sony http://www.p-tv.jp/anime/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sony Communication Network Corp. has set up a brand new content destination called P-TV for Japanese PSP owners. The Portable TV site lets users download a variety of content from movies to anime. P-TV offers content free of charge for registered users and includes seven distinct channels - Movie, Sports, Music, Drama, Anime, Entertainment, and Life-info. Current content includes a foreign Hitler flick on the Movie channel, a miliary kung fu show on the Sports channel, and a show called Boy Meets Cooking #1 on the Life-Info channel. Folks who want to fenagle their way through the Japanese registration process can head to PSP Updates for a step by step on how to become a member and download P-TV programs to the PSP. U.S. content providers including Heavy.com and Playboy.com curently offer content that can be downloaded to the PSP. Sony has not yet announced a programming service for domestic PSP owners. |
