SAKURA DIARIES Urara loves her older cousin Touma. (Though they?ve only met once, six years ago.) Touma loves the beautiful Mieko. (Perhaps it has something to do with her measurements.) Mieko loves... Well, Mieko has declared she can only love a man who goes to the same college she does. Unfortunately, the night before the college entrance exams Touma catches a cold from Urara and fails all of them miserably. Desperate to snare the statuesque Mieko and oblivious to the feelings of the love-lorn Urara, Touma enlists in a cram school and embarks on a course of elaborate deception. Will Urara ever catch a break with Touma? Will Touma ever catch Mieko? Will Mieko ever catch on? ADR Director: Janice Williams ADR Script: Clint Bickham CHARACTERS: Touma - Voiced by newcomer Robert Martinez - Approx. 18 - 19 years of age, Touma has graduated from high school and has gone to Tokyo to take the tests that will allow him to get into college. While there, he will be living with his uncle and younger cousin, Urara, whom he hasn't seen in many years. Basically a nice guy, but his hormones tend to get the better of him. Not very bright, so the college tests are going to be a real challenge. Urara - Voiced by Mariela Ortiz - Approx. 17 - 18 years of age, Urara is in her last year of high school. She remembers Touma from a single meeting many years earlier shortly after her mother died. He cheered her up and she has developed a huge crush on him, although she doesn't really know anything about him. Cheerful and vivacious, it takes a lot to get her down, but Touma often manages. Komi - Voiced by Kira Vincent-Davis - Approx. 17 - 18 years of age, Urara's best friend. Rather hyper, boy crazy and extremely outgoing. Although she attempts to give Urara advice on dealing with Touma and getting him to notice her, Komi has little paitence with his antics. While she aknowledges that Urara loves Touma, she doesn't really understand why. Mieko - Voiced by Monica Rial - Approx. 18 - 19 years of age, a beautiful, stacked red-head just entering college in Tokyo. She takes and passes the entrance exam for Keio, one of the most prestigious universities in Tokyo. Her stated policy is that she won't date any guy who isn't also attending a university of similar standing as Keio. Akimoto - Voiced by Chris Ayres - Approx. 22 years of age, a cram-school student in his third year of cram-school. He has a slovenly and unkept appearance. It's unclear whether he's still in cram-school because he can't pass the college entrance exams, or because he prefers cram-school to college. For reasons known only to himself, he befriends Touma. Whether Akimoto's intelligent or not, he generally has sage advice for Touma. Mashu - Voiced by Chris Patton - Approx. 18 - 19 years of age, a sauve, handsome and somewhat sneaky first-year college student in the Economics Department at Keio University. He's as interested, if not more so, in getting into Mieko's bed as Touma is. When he begins to smell something fishy, he starts poking into the realities of Touma's situation with an eye toward replacing him as Mieko's go-to guy. |
