Manga Pen & Ink How To and ABe Lain Artbook -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digital Manga has announced that they will be releasing another "how to" book called "Pen & Ink" a guide to penning and inking manga labelled as "A close-up look into the secret techniques of Yasuhiro Nightow, Oh Great!, and Satoshi Shiki" It goes on sale in May 2006 for $19.95 They've also announced an artbook compedium of Yoshitoshi ABe illustrations from Serial Experiments Lain called, "yoshitoshi ABe lain illustrations ab# rebuild an omnipresence in wired." No release date has been announced for the artbook. In addition to the 1999 Lain art, there will be a "newly drawn "lain" illustrations from Abe's present perspective and techniques will also be included" and "an additional "how-to" section along with pencil drawings. " |
