20th Century Boys Delay Date: 7/9/2005 |

Naoki Urasawa Requests that Monster and 20th Century Boys not be Released Concurrently -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Although Viz had never publicly announced any time frame for their release of 20th Century Boys, the title was solicited for a May release in the January issue of Previews. However it has come to light that they will be releasing the manga later than they had originally hoped. Viz had hoped to release 20th Century Boys and Monster, both by Naoki Urasawa, concurrently. However Urasawa is reported to have asked Viz to release 20th Century Boys after Monster, in the same order that they were released in Japan. Comics.212.net reports that Urasawa made the request because his art had progressed from Monster to 20th Century Boys and he felt it would a "disservice" to his art if they were released out of order. |
