A First Glimpse of the New Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki & Her Prominent Lasso Date: 3/18/2011 |
  Warner Bros. has released a photo of Wonder Woman star Adrianne Palicki in full costume and it is interesting to compare her Wonder Woman duds with those worn by Lynda Carter in the original WW TV series. The biggest difference is the skin tight blue pants that the 21st Century Amazonian wears, which is quite a contrast to the one-piece bathing suit look of the 20th Century TV version, and then there's the rather nifty new Wonder Woman eagle symbol/logo that crowns her bustier. Both costumes feature a tiara, but the new Wonder Woman?s bracelets are bigger as is the ?lasso of truth,? which looks as if it could really be used to hogtie a villain, whereas Lynda Carter?s lasso looks almost "ceremonial-only" in comparison. Wonder if this means the old ?rope of truth? will be getting more of a workout in the new series? The pilot episode for the new David E. Kelley Wonder Woman series is being shot now, so the answers to a lot of questions about the new incarnation of Wonder Woman should be abundantly clear by this time next year. |
