Geneon Drops Canadian MSRPs Date: 6/11/2005 |

Geneon no longer charging Canadians 33% more -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to listing on Amazon.ca, Geneon has dropped the MSRP on its US$29.99 DVDs from CDN$49.99 to CDN$36.99. At current exchange rates, the $49.99 price point equates to approximately US$40, 33% more expensive than the US SRP. The new SRP works out to be roughly equivalent to the US SRP. Geneon was the only major anime distributor to have a Canadian SRP completely out of tune with the exchange rate. |
