Shamus Acquires ComiConn Date & Site TBD Date: 6/11/2010 |
Gareb Shamus, the CEO of Wizard Entertainment, has announced the acquisition of another regional comic show, the Connecticut-based ComiConn. Wizard will produce the first Wizard World Connecticut Comic Con in 2011 on a date and at a site to be determined. The officers of ComiConn (?a show for the fans, by the fans?), Erik Yacko, Joseph Stinson, Mitchell Hallock, and Jay Claus will promote, advise, and consult on the new Wizard World show. The acquisition of the Connecticut show gives Wizard World a total of 12 shows for 2011. Five of those shows including the Cincinnati Comic Con, the Cleveland Comic Con, the Connecticut Comic Con, the Nashville Comic Con, along with the 2010 New Jersey Comic Con still do not have announced dates. |
