Dentsu Partners With Jakks Pacific For 'Monsuno' Anime & Toys Date: 4/20/2010 |
Dentsu Entertainment USA has entered into a partnership agreement with the American toy company Jakks Pacific to co-produce an animated series and a toy line based on an original property Monsuno, which will target boys from 6-11. Mitsuhara Inoue, the creative director and producer behind the development of Bakugan Battle Brawlers is on board for the development of Monsuno, which features a group of kids who acquire some ?reawakened DNA? from a monster. Current plans call for both the toys and the first episodes of the projected 52-episode anime TV series to debut in 2011 in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The newly established Dentsu Entertainment USA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the giant Japanese advertising firm Dentsu, Inc., which is probably best known here in the States as the parent company that pulled the plug on Geneon after acquiring Geneon from Pioneer. |
