Dark Horse Licenses Date: 5/16/2005 |

Saiyuki Dendaio, Crying Freeman and Space Pinchy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carl Horn announced at Anime Central that Dark Horse has picked up the license to the Crying Freeman manga, which had previously been licensed and released by Viz. They will release the Koike version of the series. Dark Horse will release Space Pinchy, a pulp sci-fi parody that was nominated for a 2002 Seiun science fiction award for Best Japanese Science Fiction Comic published in 2002. The series is particularly unique because it is full color. Finally, Dark Horse has picked up Saiyuki Dendaio, another adaptation of Wu Ch'eng-en chinese classic, Xi You Ji "Journey to West," which has spawned anime and manga series such as Tezuka's Alakazam the Great, Toriyama's Dragon Ball and of course Saiyuki. |
