Saint Seiya Cult Anime Comes to PS2 Date: 3/23/2005 |
Atari?s love of all things Bandai continues with the announcement of the grandly-titled Saint Seiya, Knights of the Zodiac: The Sanctuary for PlayStation 2 ? along with the first handful of screens. Saint Seiya is described by Bandai as "Cosmo Energy Battle Action" (gotta love ?em, no?) and is based on the legendary anime franchise of the same name. The forthcoming video game instalment is faithful to the Gold Saint Saga episodes of the original TV series, in which Seiya ? a Pegasus saint ? and a host of helpers protect the goddess Athena and assist in destroying 200 years of evil. "That Bandai have created this new gaming incarnation of the Saint Seiya universe in direct response to the requests of Saint Seiya's legions of fans is testament to their understanding of this incredible franchise," said Jean Michel Perbet, President, Atari Europe. "Saint Seiya, Knights of the Zodiac: The Sanctuary is an incredibly original console fighting experience and will seduce a whole new audience of gamers with the wonders of the Saint Seiya universe." Saint Seiya, Knights of the Zodiac: The Sanctuary is due for release by Atari Europe sometime in 2005. |
