'Yuri' Manga Headed to U.S.

Lesbian-Themed Anthology Debuting in July
ALC Publishing has announced a distribution agreement with Diamond Comic Distributors to distribute lesbian-themed "yuri" manga to North America. ? ALC's English-language anthology, Yuri Monogatari, will be listed in the May edition of Diamond's Previews catalog. Next up for ALC is Rica Takashima's popular "yuri" title, Rica 'tte Kanji!?.



A number of publishers including CPM Manga and Digital Manga have begun publishing "yaoi" manga titles -- the male equivalent of "yuri" manga -- but ALC, which is a division of Yuricon, is the first to publish "yuri" titles in the U.S.
